dsc_2664_medium.jpgToday, on the 20th of January, the last starts of the  IPC cross-country skiing and biathlon World Cup have just finished - biathlon, middle distance of the women (10 km) and men (12,5 km) men categories.  5 countries have earned high awards: team of Ukraine - 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals; Germany - 2 gold and 1 silver medal; team of France - 1 gold; teams of Norway and Belarus - each earned 1 silver and 1 bronze.

 

In the first start among men with visual impairments - all three steps of the podium were taken by Ukraine. Gold medal was earned by - Lukyanenko Vitaliy with his guide Babar Borys (38:50.0), silver medal was earned by Kovalevskyi Anatolii with his guide Mukshyn Oleksandr (39:11.0), bronze medal was earned by Suiarko Dmytro with his guide Potapenko Vasyl (39:57.7)


In the same category among women the representatives of Ukraine took the first and the third steps:  Shyshkova Oksana with her guide Kazakov Vitalii earned the gold medal (33:06.3), Prylutska Olga with her guide Babar Borys earned the bronze medal (35:58.0). Klug Clara from Germany with her guide Hartl Martin took the silver medal (36:29.2).


In the men standing category Daviet Benjamin from France became the owner of the gold medal (35:25.9), Reptyukh Ihor from Ukraine took the second place (35:50.1), and the representative of Norway Ulset Niels-Erik (36:31.4)


All three steps of the podium are ukrainian in the same women category: Kononova Oleksandra - the first place (29:36.7),  Liashenko Liudmyla - the second place (31:09.6). Batenkova Iuliia - the third place (33:18.9)


 Fleig Martin from Germany earned the gold medal in the men-sitting category (40:21.4), Loban Dzmitry from Belarus earned the silver medal (40:29.6), and the Ukrainian Rad Taras became the third (41:06.6).


And again the athletes from Germany took the first and the second place in the same category with the following results - Eskau Andrea (40:34.5) and Wicker Anja (41:10.0)  correspondingly. Hrafeyeva Lidziya from Belarus earned the bronze medal.


Thus, today, on the last competition day, we can sum up the results of the World Cup

Unofficial country medal-ranking of the IPC cross-country skiing and biathlon World Cup which took place at the Western Rehabilitation and Sport Center of the National Sport Committee of Sport of Disabled of Ukraine, 13-20 January 2017

10 countries of the 18 which took part in the IPC cross-country skiing and biathlon World Cup earned high awards. On the first place is the team of Ukraine which earned 56 high awards: 19 gold, 15 silver and 22 bronze medals; the second is the team of Germany -13 awards: 6 gold,4 silver, 3 bronze medals; on the third place is the team France with 7 awards: 6 gold, and 1 silver medal.


From now all the athletes start to prepare themselves for the cross-country skiing and biathlon world championship which is to be hosted by Germany in Finsterau city, 10-19 February 2017.
